We are a military family and we are proud to serve our country. We wanted to have a small place to go with our children and make memories. Old Orchard Beach was the perfect spot! You can go on a fishing trip, go whale watching, shopping in quaint little villages of Ogunquit, Kittery and other nearby towns. You can take a ferry boat to the islands in Casco Bay, or visit a working lobster dock.
But, most of the time we just enjoy the beach and play in the waves and have a picnic lunch on the sand...so simple and so fun. In the evening we visit Palace Playland or go miniature golfing at Pirates Cove.
As soon as we arrive we reset our watch because for that week we are On Beach Time.
There are so many things to see and do in the Old Orchard Beach area. Peaks Island is a beautiful place to explore. Ogunquit is also a gorgeous beach and has the Marginal Way, a paved path with dramatic views of the cliffs and ocean.
Whether you desire moments of solitude or the scream of a rollercoaster, a journey on the water or a scenic drive, fishing or swimming, shell collecting or shopping, Old Orchard and the surrounding area has something for everyone.
